Donation Drive at this weekend’s Crossing Time Concerts
As part of our ongoing “Paths to Dignity” initiative, we invite you to help our community this weekend by donating items that provide warmth. You can contribute hats, gloves, socks, coats, blankets, or similar items, which we will collect at the concerts this weekend and distribute to local shelters.

Symphony of the Mountains will be conducting our annual Elizabeth Harper Vaughn Concerto Competition named in Honor of Elizabeth Harper Vaughn, who was the founding president of Women’s Symphony Committee in 1953.

Explore the French-American Connection: Special Pre-Concert Event – September 28th!
Symphony of the Mountains is thrilled to present a special pre-concert discussion exploring the significance of the compositions featured in our upcoming performance, as well as the historical connection to the French-American alliance. This event will launch our 24-25 season Symphonic Stories with the concert, “Revisiting the Great Classics,” on Saturday, September 28th in Kingsport, TN.

Kingsport, TN – The Swiss-born North Carolina-based Kruger Brothers team up with Symphony of the Mountains on a musical trip “From the Alps to the Appalachians” to open the orchestra’s 2023-24 season, “Music Near and Far.”
Symphony of the Mountains Announces New Season
Kingsport, TN – Symphony of the Mountains will celebrate its 2022-2023 Season, “Our Appalachian Mountain Home” with exciting programs and new visuals. Be on the lookout for a new Symphony logo designed in collaboration with The High Roads Agency of Kingsport.
Symphony Gala Moved to June 18
Kingsport, TN – The Symphony of the Mountains Board made the decision last week to give Covid a couple more months to settle down before holding the return of its highly anticipated Diamond Jubilee Symphony Gala.
February Concert Moved to May 22
Kingsport, TN – Due to the present surge of Covid-19 cases, we have changed the date of our February 5 concert, “Woodwinds and All That Jazz”. The concert will now take place on Sunday, May 22 at 4:00pm, still at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol, TN.
Symphony of the Mountains Holiday Concerts at New Locations
Kingsport, TN – Enjoy an afternoon of warmth and wonder at “By the Fireside” annual holiday concerts. This year’s Kingsport performance will be held at the Marriott Meadowview Convention Center Saturday, December 4 at 3:00pm. The SW Virginia performance will be held for the first time at Emory & Henry’s McGlothlin Center for the Arts Sunday, December 5 at 3:00pm.
