Beethoven and Beginnings: Bristol

We celebrate classical masterworks in two distinctive venues: the beautifully restored, traditional Paramount Bristol and the vibrant, contemporary Kingsport Farmers Market. The concerts will open with Beethoven's Ruins of Athens Overture, which was also featured in SOTM’s first concert program 80 years ago. Next, principal clarinetist Victor Chavez will be the soloist in Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. The evening concludes with Beethoven's Symphony No. 2.

New World Rhapsody

Our Homecoming Concert brings together past and present members of the organization to celebrate SOTM’s 80th Anniversary as well as the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Join us for an exciting program featuring Ives' Variations on America, Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, From the New World, and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with pianist Max Levinson. Acclaimed pianist and Steinway Artist Max Levinson is an internationally recognized performer and prizewinner who serves on the faculty of the New England Conservatory.
